San Diego Hat Company Catalog
As Lead Print Designer, I was invited by Pacific Creative Media to art direct the Fall/Winter lifestyle photoshoot and catalog design for San Diego Hat Company. I collaborated closely with the marketing manager to define a visual system that balanced brand storytelling, product visibility, and audience engagement. To create a dynamic sense of movement and versatility, I directed lifestyle photography against both dark and light backgrounds, conveying a “day-to-night” accessorizing concept. I established a typographic hierarchy and modular layout system with spacious leading to accommodate substantial product content while maintaining clarity and readability. Post-production workflows included selective Photoshop edits to ensure inclusivity and resonance with a broad target audience. The result was a cohesive, scalable print system that guided the catalog’s visual narrative, elevated brand perception, and could be efficiently applied to future campaigns.
Jon Renau Wig Catalogs
As Lead Print Designer for a patient-focused wig catalog targeting individuals undergoing cancer treatments and patients with alopecia, I approached the project with a human-centered, empathetic lens, ensuring every design decision supported patients in envisioning how the wigs could help them feel feminine, natural, and confident. I developed a modular tab system to simplify navigation by style, length, and color, paired with clear swatches and color samples to make the selection process intuitive and stress-free. I oversaw technical specifications to ensure seamless printing at scale, coordinating offshore production to deliver large quantities on schedule while maintaining quality standards. Throughout the project, I collaborated closely with stakeholders, medical advisors, and photographers, translating sensitive content into a visually compelling, accessible, and emotionally resonant print experience that balanced craft, precision, and empathy, demonstrating the full spectrum of strategic leadership, technical print expertise, and human-centered design thinking.
