Nuclear Alley by Theresa Mills
A narrative inspired by real events but lacking available reference imagery. With the story set in Japan centered around a nuclear facility enveloped by dense bamboo forest and populated with dangerous spiders and snakes, the challenge was to visually realize a highly specific and atmospheric setting without access to original photography. To bridge this gap, custom imagery was developed using MidJourney, guided by carefully constructed prompts to capture the tone, environment, and tension described in the manuscript. The resulting visuals were treated as a foundation rather than a final asset. Images were upscaled to meet print-resolution standards, then refined in Photoshop through color correction, compositing adjustments, and controlled contrast to achieve a cohesive and production-ready aesthetic.

Turn the Page The Bob Seger Story by Edward Sarkis Balian
This project encompassed the full editorial design, layout management, and print production. Centered on the life and cultural impact of Bob Seger. The work involved translating a narrative-driven manuscript into a cohesive, reader-friendly publication that balances visual clarity with editorial depth. The design approach focused on establishing a strong typographic system, cohesive image layout, consistent grid structure, and clear content hierarchy to support long-form reading. Careful attention was given to pacing, image integration, and chapter transitions to enhance the storytelling experience while maintaining production efficiency. On the production side, the project required the development of print-ready files, including precise control over margins, bleeds, color profiles, and prepress specifications to ensure high-quality output. The result is a professionally executed publication that reflects both the author’s scholarly perspective and the enduring legacy of Bob Seger, delivered through a refined editorial design and a disciplined print production process.
