In homewares product development, I cultivated strong partnerships with artisans and vendors to translate concept into finished product. I led ideation and creative direction, collaborating closely with skilled glassmakers who brought each design to life through traditional hand-blown techniques. This included on-site development with family-owned workshops across Mexico, where generational craftsmanship informed both process and quality, often utilizing recycled glass sourced from Corona bottles. I also traveled to Tlaquepaque, Mexico to work directly with artisan vendors, coordinating design production, labeling, and transportation for all Mexican hand-blown glass products, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery from workshop to retail.
For the summer collection, I developed a range of “adventure mugs,” partnering with a graphic designer to refine copy and create cohesive storytelling across each piece. In parallel, I directed international production, collaborating with manufacturing teams in China to develop reactive-glaze ceramic mugs and specialty forms, including sculptural jar designs. The collection exceeded performance expectations, requiring expedited reorders to meet demand.
