During the disruption of COVID-19, I led a rapid shift from traditional printed manuals to streamlined, digital-first quick start guides, ensuring critical information remained accessible in a fast-changing environment. Faced with urgent timelines and reduced physical touchpoints, I triaged complex, multi-page manuals into concise, intuitive formats designed for immediate use.
I developed a system of click-through PDFs that prioritized speed, clarity, and global accessibility. By leveraging strong typographic hierarchy, simplified layouts, and clear visual cues, I transformed dense instructional content into easy-to-navigate experiences. Iconography and color coding were strategically implemented to guide users through key actions, reduce cognitive load, and support quick comprehension across language barriers.
This approach not only accelerated deployment but also enabled faster translation and localization, allowing teams across regions to access consistent, user-friendly guidance in real time. The result was a scalable, efficient documentation system that replaced static manuals with dynamic tools—supporting operational continuity when it mattered most.
